Kirsty has over 15 years of experience assisting clients to resolve complex employment, labour, human rights, occupational health & safety, workers’ compensation and civil litigation matters in a timely and cost-effective manner. Kirsty has represented clients before the Ontario Small Claims Court, Human Rights Tribunal, Ministry of Labour and Ontario Labour Relations Board.
Prior to starting KM Legal Services, Kirsty was a law clerk and paralegal at a national firm where she assisted lawyers with a variety of employment, human rights and civil and commercial litigation matters for some of Canada’s top companies, including wrongful dismissal litigation, discrimination and harassment claims, policy grievances, occupational health and safety prosecutions, contract disputes, and workers’ compensation matters.
Kirsty has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from York University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Family Studies from the University of Western Ontario. She also received a Certificate in Law Office Administration from Humber College. Kirsty has taken a variety of additional courses including with respect to Human Resources Management and the Workplace Safety & Insurance Act.
